Globular clusters are dense, massive star clusters found in all types of galaxies, and their study is relevant for a large number of topics in astrophysics, including stellar evolution, galaxy evolution, dynamics and stellar populations.

The seminar aims to highlight the importance of Globular Clusters as a topic of study in astrophysics. The goal of this course is to equip students with a broad knowledge of the properties of globular clusters and globular cluster systems and of the methods that are used to study and analyse them (photometry, spectroscopy, dynamical modelling, theoretical and observational techniques).
